· I got the TNA Impact Tapings for October 9th…
The following took place on Tuesday in Orlando, FL.
TNA Impact Tapings for October 9:
- Christian Cage came out to the ring and said everyone wants him to pick sides right now in TNA. He said he didn't need to pick a side right now or maybe he just doesn't want to. Cage calls out AJ Styles to clear up their differences and Booker T comes out instead. Styles then comes out and starts shooting down Booker. Jim Cornette calms everything down and announces Booker T vs. AJ Styles with Christian Cage as the referee later tonight.
- Kip James defeated Rhino in a No DQ match.
- Consequences Creed defeated Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal and Petey Williams to earn a shot at the TNA X Division Title at Bound For Glory.
- Abyss & Matt Morgan defeated TNA World Tag Team Champions Beer Money, Inc. in a non-title match. Team 3D was at ringside on commentary.
- Mick Foley came out and thanked the fans for last week saying it was a special moment for him. Foley said he is proud to be in a company where he can call what they do professional wrestling. He said he will be fair as the enforcer at Bound For Glory between Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle. Foley then introduces Jarrett and Angle. Jarrett said TNA made a mistake in hiring Angle, but it was something he had to live with. He then gives Angle back his gold medal and they shake hands. Angle tells Jarrett to apologize now to his daughters because daddy wouldn't be coming home after the PPV.
- Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed defeated TNA Knockouts Champion Taylor Wilde & Roxxi.
- AJ Styles defeated Booker T with Christian Cage as the special guest referee. Cage ended up attacking both Styles and Booker. Jim Cornette announced a three way at Bound For Glory with Cage vs. Styles vs. Booker.
- An official contract signing was held in the ring for Samoa Joe vs. Sting at Bound For Glory for the TNA World Title. Jim Cornette was involved. Sting tells Joe that it didn't have to be this way, but it is what it is. Joe said one thing Kevin Nash taught him was to be professional and he told Sting he did indeed respect him. Both shake hands and then Joe hits Sting. Both brawl and security breaks it up. They both break free and continue to go at it as the show comes to a close.
- Xplosion: Velvet Sky defeated ODB.

Commentators: Matt Striker & Todd Grisham
Report by: David Stephens of WrestleView.com
This historic week in WWE history is continued on ECW tonight as the land of Extreme is now brought to you in high definition from the NEW timeslot of 9pm ET!Say what you want about me on Smackdown, Mike Tedesco, but you can’t “Question My Heart” so let’s get this ECW train a rolling! It’s great to have Todd back tonight after what JR called a troubled week in Todd’s life. Tiffany is in the ring with a bouncing Teddy Long and introduces the ECW Champion, Matt Hardy. Once he makes his way down to the ring, Tiffany introduces his opponent at No Mercy, the former ECW Champion, Mark Henry. Tony Atlas accompanies the big man down to the ring. Teddy gets on the mic and says that he brought the two of them together, so that they can talk face to face, one last time. Henry informs Matt that he will be having a rough week considering his match against Jericho and HHH on Friday even before his match against Henry at Mercy. Hardy says he’ll do fine, Henry says he shouldn’t be there, and the beat goes on. It looks like the two are about to fight, and Teddy Long tries to calm them down, but before he has a chance to say much, Miz & Morrison make their way down to the ring. These two really need a name for their Tag Team. Miz & Morrison say that they want Bourne and Ortiz in the ring tonight, or as they call them, the nerds. Miz & Morrison then start chanting “Nerds!” over and over again. Teddy Long says fine, but let’s not exclude the Champ and his opponent, so tonight it will be Henry, Miz & Morrison v. Hardy, Ortiz & Bourne!

Jack Swagger v. Lenny Lane
This can’t be good for Lenny Lane. Swagger starts to lock up with Lane and then just checks him down to the ring. Matt Striker keeps saying “Swagger” in a Sean Connery voice. He informs Grisham that you have to say it like that, Grisham says, no you don’t. Lenny Lane hits a couple of punches but then Swagger hits a huge running knee to Lane’s face. Swagger pounds Lane down to the mat with his signature Blue Thunder Bomb and this match is over.
Winner: Jack Swagger via Blue Thunder Bomb
After the match Swagger apparently isn’t done and hits a neck breaker on the poor kid. Tommy Dreamer runs out to make the save but Swagger slides out of the ring before any contact can be made. Tommy Dreamer will be in a match, up next!

Tommy Dreamer v. Mike Knox
Knox’s beard may have wildlife in it at this point. Just an impressive piece of real estate. The two lock up in the middle of the ring and Knox starts it off with a knee to the gut and a punch to the face. Dreamer is sent to the mat with a shoulder block, but dodges an elbow drop. Tommy is whipped to the corner and blocks a splash attempt. He leaps from the second rope to attempt a shoulder block of his own but is met with a vicious clothesline. Knox jumps and lands knee first on the former ECW Champion and then locks in a chin lock. Tommy is able to get up and land some punches. He actually locks onto Knox’s beard in order to place a couple more punches. Now Knox is sent to the mat with a bulldog and hit with an elbow drop that connects. Dreamer is in the corner but is able to counter Knox’s rush and sends Mike face first into the second turnbuckle. Dreamer runs at the corner and leaps to hit a spear but is met with nothing but steel post. Knox is able to hit his finisher, which the commentators of course don’t call by name, and this match is over!
Winner via ?: Mike Knox
After the match, Swagger decides it is time for payback and runs out to the ring and hits Dreamer with the Blue Thunder Bomb. It is such an impressive looking move.

Henry, Miz & Morrison v. Hardy, Ortiz & Bourne
Miz and Evan Bourne will start things off. After the initial lock-up, Miz is able to back him in the corner and lay on the punches. Bourne won’t have any of this and hits a few punches before whipping Miz into the corner and getting laid out by a shoulder block. Miz is whipped again, but this time is laid out with a high spinning kick. Ricky Ortiz gets the tag in, and shortly thereafter so does John Morrison. Ricky Ortiz is whipped into the ropes and hits a huge shoulder block on the former ECW Champion. Ortiz goes for the pin attempt, but Morrison kicks out. Bourne gets tagged in, but Morrison sends him to the apron. Bourne flips back in and tries to bounce off the ropes, but Miz hits the cheap hot and trips him up. Morrison finishes the job by kicking him out of the ring. Morrison is in the ring with Evan Bourne and locks in a side headlock. Morrison converts this into an arm hold of sorts. Bourne goes for a high spinning kick, but Morrison ducks out of it, and hits one of his own!. Now Miz gets in the tag. Morrison hits a cheap punch on Bourne, and Miz goes for a cover, but no luck. Miz continues the work on Evan Bourne’s arm and lays him out in the middle of the ring. Evan Bourne somehow gets up and hits a hurricarana and then rolls over to the corner and tags in Matt Hardy!Hardy is going to town on the Miz, complete with punches, an elbow drop and the Side-Effect! Morrison comes into the ring, but is only thanked by being sent down to the mat as well. It seems that the World’s Strongest Man has had enough as he starts to make his way into the ring. Ortiz, Bourne, and Hardy are all starting him down as we head to commercial!
****Commercial****
We come back and it is Matt Hardy and Morrison in the ring. Matt Hardy has Morrison down in the middle of the ring with an arm bar locked in. Morrison gets up in the corner and attempts to reverse, but Hardy rolls through to keep the hold in place. Hardy tags in the undefeated Ricky Ortiz who continues the work on Morrison’s arm. Hardy gets tagged back in and hits his EPIC elbow before locking another arm hold on. Now Evan Bourne gets in the tag. Hardy whips Morrison to the corner and then Hardy drops to all fours and Bourne jumps off his back into Morrison for a splash. The pin attempt fails, and Bourne tags in Ricky Ortiz.Ortiz barely touches Morison before locking up Morrison’s arm and tagging back in Evan Bourne who hits a mushroom stomp with shades of Paul London. Ortiz is tagged back in and Morrison hits a couple punches followed by a kick to the gut and tags in Mark Henry!Mark Henry just starts to demolish Ricky Ortiz. He is knocked down over and over and Henry backs him up into the corner. Miz gets the tag in now and locks in a side headlock. Ortiz is dropped down to the mat with a clothesline and then Morrison gets in the tag. John straddles Ortiz and lays into him with one punch. Morrison locks in a head scissors hold and things aren’t looking good for Ricky Ortiz as the fans start a “You Suck” chant. Ortiz is able to stand up and hits an electric chair drop and heads to the corner, but Miz gets tagged in first and stops Ortiz’s tag!Miz isn’t even wrestling Ortiz as he just punches Ricky in order to drive home the point before tagging in Morrison. The headlock is locked on Ricky, front style, and he is desperately trying to get to the corner. Morrison takes the second to hit a cheap shot on Hardy which allows Ricky to tag in Bourne. Evan leaps over the top rope and hits a hurricarana on Morrison!Bourne just keeps hitting Morrison with kick after kicks from every angle imaginable. Bourne climbs to the tope rope as Morrison stands up and hits him with the double knee around the head and goes for the cover. Miz comes in to break it loose as Hardy comes in to take out the Miz, but Miz is able to toss out Hardy. Ortiz comes and decks Miz which sends them both out of the ring as Morrison makes the tag to Mark Henry. This leaves Evan Bourne and Mark Henry as the legal men, and this doesn’t look good for the high flyer! He is able to dodge a few swings from the big man and hits multiple kicks, but Mark Henry catches him mid air on a hurricarana attempt. Henry hits the World’s Strongest Slam, and that’s all she wrote.
Winners via World’s Strongest Slam: Henry, Miz & Morrison

· I got the WWE Smaccdown Tapings results for this Friday night…
David Nordby sent this report in:
Just got back from the Smackdown All-Star Kick Off and ECW Taping from the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Attendence wise not completely filled up, I would say it was a little lower of a crowd than the house show back in March, but still a decent sized crowd. The new HD stage made its debut in the Resch Center and it made the arena look small. Other note: Packers Pro Bowl Wide Receiver Donald Driver attended the show with his son.The show started off airing the Wrestlemania 24 highlight video that got the crowd pumped up. Cena got booed in the video. Tons of Woo chants for Flair. Tony Chimel was out next and welcomed us to the show.
Dark Match - Jimmy Yang defeated Bam Neely
Not bad for a little dark match, Yang was over with the crowd, Yang won following a couple of nice maneuvers for near-falls and then finished him off with a backflip.Tony told us to get excited and air the shot for ECW before the show went on the air. Everyone went crazy and held up their signs. One funny sign I saw was "Hey Jeff, how was the flight."
Todd Grisham and Matt Striker got introduced both to cheers actually. Teddy Long accompanied by Tiffany made their way out to the ring before the actual taping started. The opening video and the ECW video showed on the big screen followed by a display of pryo, and then you guys watched a boring edition of ECW that the live crowd didn't enjoy other than the 6 man main event. They made a ring change fairly quickly which the refs did most of the work for. They showed a very cool WWE video that went the length of the ring change. They showed the trips to Iraq, Wrestlemania, Celebrity interviews, Make-a-Wish videos, and everything else. Jay Leno clips from WCW are hanging around in their which is weird, but a really cool video from start to finish capping WWE in the media and life. They shot out T-shirts, introduced Jim Ross and Tazz and the Smackdown All-Star show was finally underway.
Smackdown - 10/3/08
The WWE video and Smackdown video showed and a huge display of pyro went off. Then the show started with a huge match the fans loved.
1) Jeff Hardy, Batista, Rey Mysterio, & Finlay w/ Hornswoggle defeated JBL, Kane, Brian Kendrick w/ his bodyguard, and MVP.
It's amazing how they change the pyro and blow up MVP's entrance so fast. Jeff Hardy got his huge pop. Tons of fans around for him. Hornswoggle is from the Wisconsin area so he got a huge pop as well. A very good match with some comedy spots with Hornswoggle and Kendrick. All 8 men had a good finish at the end and Jeff Hardy got the pin after a swanton. After the match all the faces especially Jeff Hardy and Batista went out of their way to make the fans happy. Jeff Hardy gave hugs to women wearing his t-shirts and a couple of them just about passed out.Big Show is shown angrily walking backstage.
Mike Adamle, Tiffany, and Teddy Long are talking about the All-Star kickoff. Big Show comes in and kicks them all out of "his" office. Chavo walks in and Big Show says he is in charge tonight and Chavo is going to wrestle.Santino cut a promo in the ring w/ Beth that featured the Honk-O-Meter. Then in a hilarious interview that won't air on TV, Santino cut a promo on Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. Crowd cheered Favre's name and booed Rodgers mostly by the way. A Shelton Benjamin promo showed on the big screen.
2) Santino Marella w/ Beth Phoenix defeated Shelton Benjamin
R-Truth rapped through the crowd and cost Benjamin the match. Short match. They showed Cena and Wrestlemania videos again. Cena was cheered this time though, fans were hoping this would lead to an appearance from him.Big Show came to the ring and said Vicki was about to see something she would like from her bed resting and healing up.
3) Handicap Match - Mark Henry w/ Tony Atlas & Great Kahli w/ Runjin Singh defeated Chavo Guerrero.
After the match, Big Show cut another promo this time on Undertaker. Undertaker came out from under the ring or somewhere. Big Show didn't appear to be scared. Undertaker is awesome live crowd loved it. Carlito and Primo cut a promo and said they hope it was ok they changed it a 6 man tag. Carlito and works well togehter with his brother.
4) Carlito, Primo, and Guest CM Punk defeated Ted Dibiase, Cody Rhodes, and Manu
Not a real good match, crowd wasn't as into Punk as I thought they would be.Jesse and Festus appeared talking about the move to My Network. Then the Lumberjills came out
5) Lumberjill Match - Beth Phoenix defeated Michelle
They actually had a good match, but I don't think that's where the fans concentration was. Kelly is amazing, it's not like any of the other Divas are slouches either.
6) The Main Event - Triple H defeated Chris Jericho and Matt Hardy
Really good match, all worked well together. Triple H beat Matt Hardy at the end but I think Matt looked like a main eventer here.Jericho attacked both men at the end and pulled out a ladder. Jeff Hardy came out to make the save, and then took out Triple H. Vladimir Kozlov appeared and laid them both out to apparently end Smackdown.Jeff Hardy and Triple H both spent time and went around the audience. Triple H stayed out for along time just like he did in the March house show, and really ended the show on a positive note for fans. Triple H is definately over. The Biggest pops go to Triple H, Undertaker, Jeff Hardy, and Hornswoggle. Heat goes to JBL, Jericho, and Koslov.Good entertaining show, it should come across good on TV on Friday. The 8 man, and triple threat are good entertaining matches. Not sure if they did a great job leading into the PPV on Sunday, but a good entertaining show for their debut on their new station.
